OUR HISTORY

Our story begins in 1754 when our ancestors immigrated to the "New World" and became established in agriculture in what is now Pennsylvania.

Fast forward to 2024 and we are the 7th generation of our family making our living off the land. 

Our roots are deep in the dirt and we are committed to bringing you top quality grass fed Angus beef.

Our region of NY is known for it's incredible grass growth due to the abundant rain that comes off the Great Lakes.  Thousands of tons of horse and dairy quality hay harvested right here in Herkimer County are shipped up and down the East coast annually.   This mix of sweet legumes and cool season grasses is what our cows graze on all summer long and eat in hay bale form all winter.  We are continually amazed by their ability to thrive and turn grass into nutrient dense healthy protein, high in Omega 3's and 6's, essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, minerals such as magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron to name a few, vitamins B1 and B2 and Beta Carotene (which is actually visible in the yellow colored fat).  There are many more health benefits too numerous to mention here.

Our cattle are on a strictly grass diet their entire lives.  We allow them to grow and develop at their own pace, most reaching a harvest weight at 26-30 months.  It takes patience to wait 2.5 years from birth to harvest, but in our opinion good beef can't be rushed.  And therein lies the secret to the amazing flavor of our beef-TIME.

So we offer you a product that is sustainably and humanely raised with no growth hormones, no animal derived proteins, no funny business.  Just pristine grass raised, grass finished Angus beef.  Always.  That is our promise to you.

All of our meat is processed in USDA inspected facilities with the USDA stamp on every package.

All product is sold frozen.

At this time we are not shipping product, but orders can be picked up at our farm if prearranged.  For our customers who buy by the quarter, half or whole carcass, we deliver free to your home if you are close by.  If you live an hour or more away from us we can still deliver, but will charge a fee.
